Embroideries
Marjane Sartapi's Embroideries is another book that I recommend. It is a comic novel that explores the lives of Iranian women young and old.

This was a great book! I was a little surprised at the comic format (I hadn't read any of Satrapi's novels before) but I'm definitely heading out to find Persepolis soon. I don't think these Iranian women's stories are any different than most of what you'd find in the US, sadly.
